PRIVACY AND SECURITY STATEMENT
Thank you for visiting the EMPROV virtual
workplace Web site and reviewing our privacy and security statement. EMPROV is
strongly committed to maintaining the privacy of your personal information and
the security of our computer systems. With respect to the collection, use and
disclosure of personal information. The following statement describes the
general information-gathering and usage practices of our web site.
Collecting
Personal Information
When you submit a registration application, we collect your
personal and organizational information such as: name, address, email address, occupation,
location, etc. Applicants fill out an online Registration Form in order to
fully utilize functions our website provided. We do not retain, share, store or
use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
Cookie
Use Notice
The EMPROV employs
"cookies" to provide better service to its community members. We do
not use cookies to collect any personally identifying information from users or
to track user activities beyond our Web site. The EMPROV does not maintain
copies of cookies on our Web site after you leave our Web site.
Cookies are small
pieces of temporary data that are exchanged between a Web site and a user's
computer which enable a "session," or "dialog," to be
established between the two machines. With the session established, the
Department is able to tailor its responses (i.e., identify and provide you with
the information you want) and help you traverse our Web pages in the most
efficient and effective manner possible. The session is often broken when the
EMPROV server does not receive further requests from your computer or you
simply exit your browser.
The EMPROV limits
its use of cookies to "session cookies" — types of cookies that are
temporarily stored in your computer's memory. Session cookies are normally
deleted from a user's computer when the user logs off the computer or the user
exits the browser.
Web log files
Like most web site administrators, we use log files that
record information such as Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring/exit
pages, date/time stamp, and page navigation. We gather this information to
track web site visitor movement in the aggregate, and to gather broad
demographic information for aggregate use. Our goal in gathering this
information is to learn how our customers and the public are using our service.
IP addresses that are recorded by our log files are not linked to personally
identifiable information.
Changes to our privacy policy
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post
those changes to our homepage, this privacy statement, and other places we deem
appropriate so our community members are always aware of what information we
collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
If, however, we are going to use users' personally identifiable information in
a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify
users via email.
